19 days of summer left...

...for me anyway. back to CC on the 26th for a week of RA training. classes start exactly a month from today! and my last year of undergrad schooling will COMMENCE! wheee! so i didn't update for the entire month of july, and that's b/c nothing really happened in the entire month of july. but oddly enough my last entry was after a visit to honesdale, and that's the reason why i'm updating now! how bout that. yay twilight zone.
soooo a couple weeks ago i went down to LBI for a week w/ my mom, brother, and vicky. and that was fun, went to the beach, got a little tan, had fun. but the weather wasn't really that great, we only had like 2 really good beach days the rest of the time wasn't so good, but i still had fun. we went and saw "the island" the last night we were there - not bad, and hot ewan! it was kind of long and the end was weird but it was worth seeing. anyhoo drove back home last friday and friday night drove to vicky's house b/c on saturday we left for...
...vermont! drove up there to burlington and went out to dinner w/ her friend jess and some of her friends, that was fun. sunday we met up w/ jess on church street (pedestrian shopping zone) and had some breakfast and did some shopping, then headed down to lake champlain for some beach time! i'm not a huge fan of lakes but it was fun and we saw hot foreign guys playing soccer. yum. and vic and i played frisbee in the water, that was fun too...our frisbee skills have stayed the same since high school. i forget what we did monday. oh wait..that might have been the day where vicky, thelma, and i watched like 4 episodes of 'beverly hills, 90210' that they tivo'd from the week before and i'm totally hooked on the show again. 5pm on SoapNet!!! on tuesday we left and stopped in fair haven, VT to visit alex and went out to lunch and got chased down by a huge tractor trailer that thought we cut him off even though we didn't, then drove back to jersey!
then i decided to go out to shepatone's on thursday night and stay til saturday morning b/c i wanted to spend a day w/ her at her jewish camp and see what all the fuss was about since she talks about it NON STOP.
so thursday night we weren't really going to do anything, but then she got a call from this guy jeremy that she knows and he invited us to come out to his campsite in the middle of some cowfield. and so our night began! at like 10pm. kelly doesn't know her way around her town, and the directions we were given to get to the campsite weren't the best, so instead of getting there in about 10 minutes, it definitely took about 45. first we drove past the road we were supposed to turn on b/c jeremy wanted us to get some extra beer, so we went and did that, then had to backtrack and find the street to turn down, though we found it, turned down this dirt road and found ourselves on a cow path on someones farm. wrong way. turned around and drove back out to the main road, kept driving back and forth and going down people's driveways that we thought were roads until we finally found the right one that we were supposed to be on. then we couldn't find the next road we were supposed to turn onto, and we pulled all the way into this one person's driveway and realized that wasn't it, so we turned around and drove into the driveway next to them thinking that must be it! but no, it wasn't. and this lady comes out of the house w/ a huge ass dog and i roll down the window and explain our situation and the dog's head is practically in my lap and he's barking and i was freaking terrified. then her husband comes out of the house w/ no shirt on and i couldn't see his face but he had the appearance of a man that had just stuck his hand in an electrical socket. then kel's phone rang and it was jeremy so i was like 'oh ok that's him, we're good' and kel hit the gas and we got the hell out of there. so we FINALLY find the driveway, which wasn't even jeremy's, and he was waiting for us at some fence entrance on his 4-wheeler. so we get out of the car and get our beer out of the trunk and i turn around to hand it to kel and i hear "Who's there, who are you?????" and i turn around and see this man walking by us and i took down at his hand and see a silver object and i realize...holy shit, he's got a gun. so kel and i are scared out of our minds and we couldn't even speak, and then jeremy came over and he knew the guy and explained what was going on, so the guy leave and as kel and i are walking over to jeremy, the guy SHOOTS OFF THE GUN into the air and i almost peed my pants. i think i gave kelly the look of death like 'why did you bring me here'. so then we get on the 4-wheeler and jeremy goes 'ok now we just have to watch our b/c there's a huge bull that lives in here and he's been known to chase.' SUPER!!!!! but we finally got to his little campsite and there was an annoying girl already there, but she left around 1230 and then it was fun. we stayed there til about 2 and then kel and i went back to her house.
friday we took Rance (kel's nephew) and picked up jess, a girl that works w/ kel, and went up to Camp Morasha and took care of the horsies!! the little jewish campers had the day off b/c it was "Israel Day" so we didn't really have to do anything but we decided we'd go on a trail ride anyway and have some fun. we were joined by the one kid that helps kelly out, his name is Duhvy (duh-vee) and he was really nice and actually pretty cute and i began to see why kelly loves it up there so much! so anyway we got the horses ready and as we were getting ready to ride the sky got really dark and we could hear thunder but we decided go to anyway, and as soon as we got into the woods the thunder was right over us and kel and i got really freaked out so we decided we'd better go back, and as soon and we turned around it started to pouuuuuur and we all got completely soaked through. it was awful. but eventually we dried off and when the rain stopped we went out for another ride and that was really fun and then we put the hay out in the field and went to get some food before we headed back to honesdale. then kel and i picked up her cousin ashley and went to th emall in scranton and out to dinner at TGIFriday's! fun times.
saturday...yesterday...i got up early and drove home b/c i had to go to Toms River for my grandma's 70th birthday party! yay grandma! so that was an all day thing and fun except for the traffic on the way down. got back pretty late last night aaaaaaand got up this morning, had some brunch, and now i think i'm gonna go for a run! adios.

"BREAKING NEWS"
===============

-Energy and Asset Technology, Inc. (EGTY) owns a global license to market
the genetically enhanced Global Cedar growth trees, with plans to
REVOLUTIONIZE the forest-timber industry.

These newly enhanced Global Cedar trees require only 9-12 years of growth before they can
be harvested for lumber, whereas worldwide growth time for lumber is 30-50 years.

Other than growing at an astonishing rate, the Global Cedar has a number of other benefits.
Its natural elements make it resistant to termites, and the lack of oils and sap found in the wood
make it resistant to forest fire, ensuring higher returns on investments.

the wood is very lightweight and strong, lighter than Poplar and over twice
as strong as Balsa, which makes it great for construction. It also has
the unique ability to regrow itself from the stump, minimizing the land and
time to replant and develop new root systems.

Based on current resources and agreements, EGTY projects revenues of $140 Million
with an approximate profit margin of 40% for each 9-year cycle. With anticipated
growth, EGTY is expected to challenge Deltic Timber Corp. during its initial 9-year cycle.

Deltic Timber Corp. currently trades at over $38.00 a share with about $153 Million in revenues.
As the reputation and demand for the Global Cedar tree continues to grow around the world
EGTY believes additional multi-million dollar agreements will be forthcoming. The Global Cedar nursery has produced
about 100,000 infant plants and is developing a production growth target of 250,000 infant plants per month.

Energy and Asset Technology is currently in negotiations with land and business owners in New Zealand,
Greece and Malaysia regarding the purchase of their popular and profitable fast growing infant tree plants.
Inquiries from the governments of Brazil and Ecuador are also being evaluated.
